Ty Pinc is one of the most impressive houses in Beaumaris, built in the 16th century, outside the walls of the town. Sitting front line with unbelievable views of the Menai Strait, Snowdonia, and Beaumaris. Originally part of Tros yr Afon Manor House it has undergone a comprehensive restoration project, peeling back time to reveal a hidden, forgotten Tudor wall painting, covered over “A” frame beams and wooden timbers. Brought up to date by antiques dealer and Interior designers Holly Johnson and Benjamin Aardewerk with the utmost care and attention to detail, Ty Pinc allows guests to enjoy this wonderful unique home with a touch of modern luxury.
Most bedrooms are decorated in a lively traditional manner, the house is filled with antiques and artworks. Earthborne paint, perfect for conservation and environmentally friendly, has been used throughout. Comfy Vintage sofas and armchairs have been renovated and used throughout the property to be as green as possible.
There is a drop off point to the front of the property with a path up to the front door.
The main downstairs lounge holds the greatest find from the renovation works. On the side Wall are original Tudor vertical beams in amazing original condition. These are part of what would have originally been a full wall screen, painted across wood and plaster in bright colours depicting foliage and heraldry. This would have been commissioned to display the wealth and power of the owner. There is an original fireplace with gas fire and large free view TV. It is a great room to relax with direct access to the front and side garden. Two huge bays give lovely views of the garden and Snowdonia mountains across the Strait.
Off the hall is the beautifully decorated downstairs bedroom with Super King size bed, with ensuite shower room with disabled access, this room is wheelchair friendly. The view through the bay window is out to the front garden.
To the rear of the property is a vast kitchen/ dining room which seats 12. The kitchen is hand crafted by Martin Lloyd, the dining table is antique, made by the renowned English furniture maker Edward Barnsley. The kitchen opens up to a wonderful outside courtyard, ideal for summer dining and relaxing in the hot tub.
Off the kitchen, through the double doors, one enters the gorgeously decorated second downstairs bedroom, with William Morris wallpaper and an ensuite shower room.
Upstairs you will discover the most wonderful room in Ty Pinc, the green Salon with its two huge bay windows, giving jaw dropping views over the Menai Strait to Snowdonia. In the renovations the early 21st Century barrel ceiling was stripped back to reveal the original Tudor “A” frames, sitting high up in the room, these would have been part of the original Tudor Hall. The salon is filled with antiques and comfy seating. The Green Salon is a great place for entertaining, with its own bar and tea and coffee facilities.
The main bedroom also leads off the landing. With a walk-in wardrobe, en-suite with both shower and bath. Surrounded by hummingbird wallpaper you can take tea in the morning and look out of the huge bay windows down to Beaumaris Pier.
The central corridor leads you off to two more beautifully decorated large rooms, both with single twin beds and ensuite bathrooms with baths and over bath showers. Each bedroom has a playful themed wallpaper.
The final bedroom has a King size oak bed by the renowned Yorkshire maker Mouseman and the walls are lined with Christian Lacroix butterfly wallpaper. Ensuite shower room and superb views out to the Strait.
All the bedrooms have free view TV, Super King Burgess mattresses or good sized twins.
Ty Pinc has its own private side garden with wonderful views to the mountains, complete with loungers for relaxing. A courtyard to the rear, great for al fresco eating. Why not use the barbecue!
Individual, off road private parking bays for up to 4 cars with the availability to use electric car charger (when booked in advance). All parking spaces are monitored by 3 CCTV cameras for your security.
